A Season For Non-Violence , January 30- April 4, 2003 , is a national 64days educational, media and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform, and empower our lives and our committments. Inspired by the 5oth and 30th memorial anniversaries of Mahatama Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King,jr.,this international event honors their vision for an empowered nonviolent world.

Dr.Arun Gandhi speaks at Hopkins- it was a very inspiring speech about his memories of Gandhiji, and the lessons that the world can learn from him ,especially today.He also runs the M.K>Gandhi Institute of Nonviolence (see link below). He mentioned the idea of the Season for Nonviolence, a 64 days period , from January 30 (Gandhiji's death anniversary) through April 4th (Dr. Martin Luther King's death anniversary) .
