The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed the Year 2000 as the "International Year for a Culture of Peace" and the Decade 2001-2010 as the 'International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Nonviolence for the children of the world. Twenty Nobel Laureates have pledged their committment to this cause and have emphasised the need to spread the message of nonvviolence at every level of society during the decade. The world looks forward to a Nonviolent society.But such a change can be affected only if we are willing to experiment with and subsequently pracise nonviolence in our society.
In view of above and to pomote Culture of Peace & Nonviolence,Global Education & Peace Research Institute ,India & Center of Global Nonviolence have initiated a Campaign of "GLOBAL NONVIOLENCE IN 21ST CENTURY" for developing a Nonviolent Global Sustinable Society.
